If you are testing HiddenApp on your iOS device:
iOS applications are not allowed to make use of the front-facing camera unless the application is in the 'foreground'. This means HiddenApp for iOS will not be able to take a photo until the thief attempts to view or dismiss the fake alarm push notification.
If you are testing HiddenApp on your Apple computer:
Please ensure you've installed the latest version of HiddenApp which can be downloaded from your Devices Dashboard here: https://dashboard.hiddenapp.com/device-registration/
You will also need to ensure that HiddenApp is allowed access to the camera. You can confirm this by the following.
For macOS:
1. Go to System Preferences
2. Security and Privacy
3. Privacy
4. Click the padlock and enter your password to make changes
5. Select the Camera
6. Find HiddenApp and ensure it is ticked
If HiddenApp is not shown under the Camera Privacy Control, please try removing the app and then reinstalling. Please reboot your machine after removal.
For iOS:
1. Go to Settings
2. HiddenApp
3. Toggle Camera on
If that doesn't work, open a support ticket by sending an email to [email protected] or contacting us on live chat.
